I have been a professional musician since 1990, with over 200 releases under various names, as lead singer, musician, and producer. The vast majority of my early work (from 1990 to 2005) is deep in the "industrial rock" genre, as Sister Machine Gun, and collaboratively with KMFDM, Die Warzau, Pigface, and others.
In the 21st century, most of my musical output has taken a more laid-back approach, and for the past five years, I have largely been concerned with experimental ambience and kinetics. Tape loops, field recordings, and invented electro-acoustic and software instruments combine; my goal is to create harmonic atmospheres with a sense of place.
Four pieces created with a multi-track looping environment of unique design. Each piece focuses on a single instrument, and is created in one live performed pass, recorded direct to stereo tape. Tracks 01 and 02 are performed on the 8-string Strandberg guitar, while track 03 is the Sequential Prophet 10, and track 04 is a 1972 Rhodes Mk 1.
Each looping experience also has a field recording playing underneath to provide a sense of place.
